Perfection -> enemy of good - Esther Blum

Perfection –> enemy of good

DON’T LET PERFECTION BE THE ENEMY OF GOOD.

Oh how this quote speaks to my Virgo perfectionistic tendencies!

How I love this quote because of how many times perfection has bit me in the ass in the past:

*Perfection had made me verbally constipated where I had severe writers block.

*Perfection had created unbelievable fear and anxiety about the direction of my career.

*Perfection had created an opaque veil over my creative visions and passions.

*Perfection had kept me locked up behind my computer, unable to step into my own greatness and help women blaze new trails for themselves.

What got me out of my dark funk and into the light?

I STEPPED OUT OF MY HEAD AND INTO MY HEART.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!  What a game-changer THAT was!!

Once I did that, it was like having a total body enema 😉  I was cleared out, energetically free, in flow with my thoughts, and open to facing whatever fears I had.

And then, I let them go.

We can always do more, be more, post the perfect selfie, keep editing our social media posts until we write what we *think* other people want, keep putting out crap that is disingenuous and that no one feels connected to…and never get shit done…

OR

We can write and create from our hearts, showing our true selves to the world, and lighting up our own unique sparkle and shine from  within.

We can do our best, give ourselves permission to be “good enough”, know that we are adding value to our own lives and the lives of others, and create a ripple effect that changes the world.

I know what path I’m gonna follow <3 <3 <3

Live Gorgeously,
Esther
